Many thousands have made the journey from where they are into the Orthodox Christian faith. This is sometimes referred to as the Eastern Orthodox Church, or sometimes by the nation they are in, i.e. Russian Orthodox, Greek Orthodox, Japanese Orthodox, etc.) We believe it to be, in fact, the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church founded by our Lord Jesus Christ.
Those currently embracing the Orthodox faith are converts from unbelief or non-Christian religions; commited Christians who have sought out the historic, ancient faith of the first Christian mellinium, finding that it still lives in Holy Orthodoxy; and adult reverts who have rediscovered the faith of their youth.
The Orthodox Church is, well, orthodox. It holds to and maintains ‘orthodoxy’ in both senses of the word: 1) right believe in God; 2) right glorification of God.
